Fast Billing Software is a Fast Technology product, built in Pune (Nigdi) by Improsys — a company whose name is short for "improvement in systems". We build the 12-product Fast Suite on one shared platform, and Fast Billing is its cash-in end: the GST invoicing, billing and light-accounting modules that turn a confirmed sale into a tax invoice and feed your accounts.
Improsys started the way most useful business software starts — by watching a real problem happen inside a real company, and deciding it shouldn't be that hard.
The name is the mission statement: Improsys — improvement in systems. Long before there was a "Fast Suite", there was consulting work with SMEs around Pune: mapping how an order became a dispatch, how a dispatch became a GST tax invoice, how a payment was chased and recorded — and how often those chains broke in a spreadsheet, a manual invoice book, or a re-keyed Tally voucher. The software grew out of the process work, not the other way round. That's why every Fast product starts with your process map and a gap analysis, not a feature checklist.
Out of that consulting practice came a single, long-lived business platform — and out of the platform came the 12-product Fast Suite: Fast ERP, Fast CRM, Fast Quality, Fast Complaint, Fast Billing, Fast WMS, Fast Inventory, Fast Production, Fast Planning, Fast Maintenance, Fast Audit, and Fast Project Management. They aren't twelve separate codebases bolted together; they are one ASP.NET and SQL Server platform with different module clusters switched on. Buy one product and it runs standalone. Add a second later and they already share the same customer, item, and user masters — no duplicate data entry, no integration project.
Fast Billing carries that philosophy to the money end of the business. It is the invoicing, billing and light-accounting profile of the platform — the modules that turn a confirmed order or dispatch into a GST-compliant tax invoice, print delivery challans, raise credit and debit notes, record payments and chase what's overdue, keep light accounts and vouchers, and bill by project or resource. A defining design fact runs through all of it: invoicing is a financial event, not a stock event. Stock has already left at dispatch; the invoice attaches value, and a built-in double-bill guard makes sure the same dispatched quantity can never be billed twice. Reference businesses like Desai Brothers, Nikhtish Engineering, Micro India and Solidus run these modules to raise invoices, receipts and project bills that post cleanly to their accounts and Tally.
Today the whole suite is built and supported from one base in Nigdi, Pune — by the same team that answers your support calls. Under the Fast Technology brand, we serve Indian SMEs and businesses worldwide, and we still measure ourselves the way a consultancy does: by whether the customer's system actually improved.
These aren't framed posters on a wall — they're the questions we ask before any feature goes into a Fast product.
Every implementation starts by mapping how billing actually flows — how an order or dispatch becomes a tax invoice, how GST and HSN are applied, who records the payment, how it posts to your accounts — followed by a gap analysis. Then the software is configured to fit. Requirements are captured in an SRS and signed off before anything is built.
A billing system that pretends to move stock when it only attaches value is asking for trouble. Fast Billing keeps invoicing a purely financial event — the goods already left at dispatch — and enforces integrity with a double-bill guard tied to the dispatch, so a quantity can be billed once and only once, and a cancelled invoice releases it cleanly for re-billing.
If a customer, item, GSTIN or user is entered once, it should never be typed again in another module — or re-keyed into your accounts. All 12 Fast products share one data backbone, and confirmed invoices, receipts and notes post to your accounts and Tally as correct vouchers instead of being typed in twice.
Whether it's a single-counter shop or a multi-branch distributor, these are the fixed points of every Fast implementation.
Information security and quality management standards we hold ourselves to.
Every Fast product runs standalone and shares the same data backbone when combined. These are the suite products a billing team most often runs alongside Fast Billing.
